This results in a number of symptoms, including swelling, soreness, cramps, itching and even ulcers. The treatment performed by Dr. Naidu at APS is known as sclerotherapy, and consists of a series of injections of sclerosing agents (a specific type of detergent) into the veins to get the veins to close up.
